Exploring SF: Visit to Alcatraz
Lucy and I made it to Alcatraz yesterday! After grabbing a quick bite, we boarded the ferry and wandered around the island. We’re not crowd people, so we just took our time and explored on our own. It was fun and eye-opening to visit the prison-turned-tourist trap. It also made me think more about the US prison system and the overhaul it’s going to need. But anyway, here are some shots from the day!

There was a surprising amount of wildlife on the island, with some gardens planted by wardens’ families, now restored.
